Rank | Wrestler | School |
1 | Mason Jakob | Dobyns Bennett |
2 | Joseph Uhorchuck | Signal Mountain |
3 | Zach Little | Summit |
4 | Jose Cordero | Cleveland |
5 | Tristan Collier | Green Hill |
6 | Ace Chittum | Cleveland |
7 | Ayden Hood | Pigeon Forge |
8 | Braylan Cosper | Hixson |
9 | Barrett Whaley | Knox Halls |
10 | Brodie Melzoni | Nolensville |
Reasoning:
The decision to rank Mason Jakob P4P #1 over Uhorchuck was largely based on recent performances. Jakob dominated Beast of the East and made the Super 32 Finals.
Jakob is Ranked 5th Nationally(Flo) at 126 Pounds. With Uhorchuck right behind him at #6(Flo)
Ranking Zach Little over Cordero was another difficult decision, particularly with Cordero pursuing his fourth state title this season. However, Little’s overall dominance last year—teching and pinning his way through the state tournament. Additionally, Little’s 8th-place finish at Beast of the East provided slightly enough separation , in my opinion, to place him at #3.
Note***- While Ace Chittum does not yet have the state titles held by others in the P4P rankings, his overall body of work and level of competition justify his placement. Chittum is currently ranked 16th nationally at 106 lbs (Flo).
Note (2/2/2026)- With Whaley's close decsion win over Melzoni, Whaley enters the P4p rankings
Note**
P4P rankings use a wider data set—national results, dominance/bonus point % , consistency, and overall résumé.
AA & A-AA rankings reflect only 2025–2026 Tennessee wrestling results.
